Wood-based tiles

Wood goes very well with modern concrete and traditional interiors. If you are in the process of arranging your home or a specific room - consider buying woodgrain tiles, which are easier to maintain and less expensive than wooden panels. Which woodgrain tiles will you choose for your interiors?

The difference between wood and woodgrain tiles

Wood is a demanding material, but it also gives your interiors a cosy feel. It feels best in a classic or rustic setting, but you can also combine it with modern concrete.

Traditional wood is not the cheapest material, and its maintenance consumes time and money. Panels need to be oiled at least once a year, the aggregate itself is quite susceptible to scratches, and it tolerates moisture and chemicals badly. If you think your interiors need the warmth that wood gives - opt for wood imitation tiles.

First and foremost, wood imitation tiles are less absorbent, so you don't have to worry about the floor or walls cracking or swelling under the influence of moisture. In addition, panel tiles a'la wood are easy to clean and more scratch-resistant. They are also available in a wide range of colours so that you can choose a colour to match your interiors. Importantly, woodgrain tiles are offered in the form of elongated panels, so they perfectly imitate traditional wooden panels.

For which rooms are woodgrain tiles suitable?

When we think of wood, we most often 'see' it on the floor with our eyes. However, you can also place woodgrain floor tiles on the walls to create a unique, warm design. As we have already mentioned, woodgrain tiles are offered in many colour variations, which allows for almost unlimited interior styling.

For example, for a classic living room, the cosy matte Bricola Roble Mat tiles are perfect. If, on the other hand, you are looking for something in lighter colours, check out the Bricola Haya Mat model kept in pleasant shades of beige and Ilinois Blanco Mat as a finish in dirty white, light grey.

Rustic interiors, on the other hand, go very well with wood-like tiles in dark tones, such as Selva Teka Rekt Mat or Ilinois Caoba Mat. The dark brown colour blends well with natural brick and aged interior decorative elements.

A very interesting solution for modernist arrangements is to combine wood with concrete. In this case, we opt for a warm brown colour - the Caledonia Beige model is a perfect example.

As we have already mentioned, in the case of tiles imitating wood, we do not have to limit ourselves to arrangements on floors only. A very interesting option is the possibility of placing wood-like tiles also on the wall. This will help accentuate a selected part of the room (e.g. the geberit or the bathtub in the bathroom) or introduce contrast and at the same time be a decorative element (the frame around the mirror or the shower cubicle).

Why should you consider buying woodgrain tiles?

As we wrote above, woodgrain tiles imitate real wood very well. You can choose models with visible grains and cracks characteristic of wood and, at the same time, you don't have to worry about proper cleaning and protection of the floor or wall. Woodgrain tiles do not swell from moisture, nor will you expose your family to splinters or knots.
