Marble tiles
Marble is a classic and elegant choice for most interiors. Properly selected, it can transform your bathroom or kitchen into a premium room. How to choose marble tiles and what to combine them with to achieve a 'wow' effect?
Marble tiles for the home - which ones to choose?
When arranging an interior, it is always a good idea to determine in advance the style in which you want to decorate a room, so that it also harmonises stylistically with the overall design of the house. Marble is an elegant choice that you can also combine with classic, rustic or modern styles.
When choosing marble tiles or tile, it is important to remember that it is an absorbent product, so you need to get the right products to maintain and protect the surface from flooding and discolouration. Marble is not a low-end material, so it is worth taking care of its aesthetic appearance and good condition for as long as possible.
Marble tiles are also highly resistant to scratches, which is undoubtedly one of the advantages of this type of finish. They are often found in bathrooms, but also in kitchens - also as countertops. Also due to its high level of frost resistance, this stone is chosen for the design of rooms that are exposed to extreme temperatures on a daily basis, such as the terrace or entrance stairs. In addition, as a good conductor of heat, marble works well on heated floors.
What colour should I choose for my marble tiles?
Marbletiles match the colour of the interior - such a material is usually chosen as a contrast to the room, as we want the marble not to "get lost" in the overall styling, but to be its main decorative element. In rooms such as the bathroom or kitchen, marble stoneware is usually placed. In this case, opt for white marble tiles (such as the Aston Blanco Brillo Rekt model) or light tones such as beige(Bayona Ivory Pulido) or muted grey (such as the Belice Gris Brillo Rekt model).
As a contrast to light-coloured rooms or as a decorative element, also on the walls, it is advisable to reach for black and dark shades of grey. The black square tiles Global Negro Lap and the rectangular tiles Nit Noir Pulido Rekt work well.
